DDUN Properties ("we", "our", "us") operates ddunproperties.com, a rental listings marketplace covering Dehradun, Mussoorie, Rishikesh, Haridwar, Nainital and the rest of Uttarakhand. We collect only what is needed to run the marketplace:
- Host account details — your name, email address, phone (WhatsApp) number and password (stored as a secure hash) when you create a host account.
- Listing content — the rental details, descriptions, pricing and photos you submit when publishing a listing.
- Enquiry information — details you type into our contact form (name, phone, email, message).
- Public interactions — comments you post on blog articles.
- Technical data — standard server logs such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, used for security and analytics.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and secure your host account and let you manage your listings.
- To display your listing and its contact details to people searching for rentals.
- To review submitted listings before they go live (moderation).
- To respond to enquiries, support requests and legal notices.
- To keep the site safe, prevent abuse and comply with applicable law.
3. WhatsApp & Phone Contact
Listing pages show the host's WhatsApp number and provide a click-to-chat link. When you use these links, the conversation happens on WhatsApp, outside our website, and is governed by WhatsApp's own privacy policy. We do not see or store those chats.
4. Photos You Upload
Photos submitted with a listing are stored in our media library, shown on the listing page, and used only in connection with your listing.
5. Cookies
We use a small number of functional cookies (for example, to keep you signed in to your host dashboard). We do not use advertising cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will continue to work, though signed-in features may be affected.
6. How We Share Data
- Your listing contact details are shown publicly, as intended, on your listing page.
- We do not sell personal data.
- We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, property or safety of DDUN Properties, our users or the public.
7. Data Retention & Your Rights
Account and listing data is kept while your account or listing is active. You may request access, correction or deletion of your data at any time by emailing info@ddunproperties.com. Deleting your account also removes your listings and personal details, subject to legal retention requirements.
8. Security
We use SSL encryption, password hashing, form nonces and honeypot checks to protect data. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's Privacy
The service is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of the page always reflects the current version.
